Simon Hughes visits Market Harborough

The lucky man.

From the Harborough Mail:
“I have been to Harborough and campaigned in town in support of the team before and I try and keep a particularly close eye on the East Midlands, especially since the last election when we lost a seat."
Simon is pictured with Lib Dem councillors Simon Galton, Phil Knowles, Barbara Johnson, Sarah Hill and Julie Simpson.

Hi, what did you think of the interview as a lib dem. I was so nervous about it and then even writing it up I was jittery. He seemed like such a lovely man and even answered my own questions about the mental health services and said I could contact him by email afterwards for any other questions he had. I must admit I have a bit of a crush, he was extremely charismatic and a powerful speaker without avoiding answering questions as some politicians so often do. I was positively charmed.

I thought it was an unusually respectful interview for a politician these days, but that is not a bad thing.

Too many interviewers are so busy challenging politicians that we are never allowed to hear what they have to say.
